"I wish it need not have happened in my time" said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide.  All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." 

I started my journey to become a counselor on the other side of the globe while living in Beijing, China for six years. There, I learned to be curious, observant, and look for the common threads of the human experience that connect all of us. I also discovered firsthand how compassion and empathy in relationships can create reciprocal healing. I believe that people are resilient and that at any moment they are doing the best they can with the resources they have available to them. We grow, learn, and heal in relationships with others, and it is my privilege as a counselor to witness the growth and healing of others.
