“My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe place for individuals to gain insight about cycles or patterns in life that are holding them back. We all struggle and at times we need someone to come along side us to provide support and help us grow.”

Before becoming a counselor, I worked in the school system for five years, specifically in the special education department. I was very involved in a special education preschool, and helped in therapy groups, preschool screenings, coordinating IEP meetings, and so much more.

This experience has given me a unique insight into school operations, parenting, and how so many individuals have special needs. I've also been raising two amazing children along the way and has been married for 23 years.

She recognizes when clients need symptom relief and when it is time to take a deeper look at how their family of origin or how their relationships are currently impacting them. Cheri provides short-term and long-term therapy, utilizing a family systems approach along with CBT, ACT, and DBT. Her experience helps her recognize and understand parenting problems, relationship struggles, and what might create self-doubt or long-standing beliefs that cause individuals to feel stuck.
