Ava Scott, Student Intern

    • “Just like a skill or any art, We cannot possess hope without practicing it. It is the most fundamental craft we demand of ourselves.” - Amanda Gorman

  • I’ve always had a passion for seeing in others what they may not yet be able to see in themselves. This passion started on the volleyball court as an adolescent and now drives me as a clinician. I believe everyone deserves access to the tools and support they need to reach their full potential. That’s where I come in! Too often, society encourages us to focus on what’s wrong with us while overlooking what’s right. We all have strengths, things we are naturally good at. Although it is important to continue growing where improvement is needed, we can’t do so without also acknowledging and harnessing our natural strengths. My role as your clinician is to help you recognize those strengths and discover how you can use them to achieve your goals.

MY SPECIALTIES

  • Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Personal Issues, Trauma, Women's Issues, Relational Issues

MY TREATMENT APPROACH

  • I utilize a person-centered, strengths-based approach to care. I’m a firm believer that my clients are the experts in their own lives and, therefore, play a vital role in the treatment process. My strong background in positive psychology also shapes my approach, leading me to emphasize the power of positive emotions and the role they can play in promoting growth, resilience, and well-being.
