ABOUT ME
“Talk to yourself like you would to someone you love.” — Brené Brown
I’m currently in the final stretch of my Master’s degree in Counseling at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC) and completing my internship at Renew Counseling. My journey started at the University of Kansas, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology and also had the incredible experience of being a student-athlete on the rowing team.
I was drawn to the field of mental health counseling because I believe that change, while often challenging, is also one of the most powerful opportunities for growth. Life transitions, whether it’s stepping into adulthood, navigating relationships, adjusting to new roles, or facing unexpected challenges, can stir up uncertainty, self-doubt, and stress. I know firsthand how overwhelming those seasons can feel, and I have seen how supportive and healing it can be to have someone walk alongside you during those times.
Therapy provides a safe space to pause, reflect, and make sense of change in a way that feels empowering rather than isolating. My passion lies in helping others navigate these transitions with greater confidence and self-compassion, so they can move through challenges and also discover new strengths along the way.
I’ve had the privilege of working with people facing challenges like anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I feel especially drawn to supporting college students and young adults as they navigate who they are, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward growth and healing. When I am not in session, I enjoy being outside, reading books, and spending time with my friends and family.
